Fighting Back Together: Rock Steady Boxing at ZOOZ
Apr 27, 2026
At ZOOZ Fitness, a group of people gathers each week—not just to exercise, but to fight back.
In The Community

July is Disability Pride Month — a time to honor the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with disabilities, and raise awareness about the ongoing fight for equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
Across the country, this month is recognized through rallies and parades, educational events, social media campaigns, performances, and community-building efforts — all aimed at uplifting and empowering the disability community.
But here at ZOOZ, Disability Pride isn’t something we celebrate just once a year. It’s part of who we are — every single day.
To mark this special month, we asked some of our incredible athletes a simple but powerful question:
“What is your disability pride?”
Their answers speak for themselves:
Sam: “My disability pride is that I’m unique!”
Manuel: “I like that I’m unique — there is only one of me! I like being me all the time.”
Juan: “I am so happy and awesome!”
Jared: “My disability pride is that I am proud of who I am!”
Nicki: “I am kind and happy.”
Ashton: “I’m proud to be myself and work out!”
Zoe: “I have a good life.”
Julian: “I’m proud of how strong I am and how hard I work.”
Alec: “I’m strong, motivated, and proud to be who I am.”
McKenna: “I love who I am — I am great!”
Jonah: “My disability pride is having the ability to help others, even those with different needs than mine.”
Sivan: “I have Down syndrome, and I am proud of all my accomplishments!”
Max: “I’m proud of myself.”
Austin: “My disability pride is being who I am.”
Ashley: “My disability pride is that I love myself.”
Karo: “I’m compassionate, and I like myself.”
Disability Pride Month may only last 31 days, but at ZOOZ, our athletes show pride, strength, and joy every time they walk through our doors.
And we’ll keep celebrating — all year long!
